The Pandanus Utilis, commonly known as the Screw Pine Palm is a striking, dramatic tropical plant instantly recognizable by its spiraling rosettes of leaves and distinct, stilt-like aerial roots. This is a very interesting and unusual plant as it got its name “screw pine” from the stilted trunk corkscrews or twists as it grows. The Screw Pine Palm is classified as extremely drought resistant and excellent in coastal tolerance. It has funky branches and roots and will stand out from the crowd.
