This tropical shrub or small tree is almost always covered in fragrant blooms all year round. The tiny yellow ball flowers are not showy, but the flowers have a very pleasant sweet fragrance, a very sweet lemon, hence the common name Mock Lemon. The round, yellow flowers do not open or have petals. But the combination of lush green leaves, scented yellow flowers and the ability to form a hedge makes it a unique plant to have.
