Pond Apple

The Pond Apple is a small to medium tree or shrub with a rounded crown from wide spreading branches with thick bases. Its leaves are thick, shiny, dark green above and pale beneath. The tree produces fragrant, yellow-orange flowers and edible fruits. The fruit is round, 1-2 inches wide, with a green, waxy skin and a creamy, yellow pulp. Some many consider the fruit taste watery and slightly sour and others say it has a sweet and tart flavor. The Pond Apple is rich in vitamins A and C, fiber, and antioxidants
